Quality Assurance Assistant

£15,500 to £19,000 per annum

Location:

Plocks Farm, Bretherton

Working Hours:

27 hours a week

We are looking for someone to join the Quality Assurance department to support with the implementation of food safety.

You will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are maintained across all departments, ensure that measuring equipment is calibrated and working correctly and validate that our lines are bacteria free before we start production. We are looking for someone with the ability to plan and organise their tasks and schedules to maintain a high level of food safety.

This role is 27 hours a week and the days can be flexible to suit the right candidate

  • Responsibility of the calibration of equipment throughout the site

  • Working with production and hygiene teams to validate a clean down

  • Carry out food safety audits and complete reports and recommendations

  • Assist with Quality Assurance investigations

  • Provide cover for other members of the QA team

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel in particular

  • Knowledge of quality control and food safety standards

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Knowledge of food safety risks and HACCP

  • Analytical thinking and decision making
