Laboratory Technician

£27,404 - £31,602 Per Annum

Plocks Farm

Working Hours:

Mon - Fri 6am - 3pm

Are you meticulous in your attention to detail? Do you have excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities? Are you interested in food safety testing, microbiology, and chemistry testing?

The successful colleague will be responsible for carrying out analytical testing of raw materials before they are sent into production to ensure they meet the correct food safety and quality standards. You will need impeccable attention to detail, ability to multi-task and to maintain a positive can-do attitude.

  • Performing routine microbiological and wet chemistry testing

  • Documenting test data for reporting

  • Prioritise production with accordance to criticality

  • Reporting on specific lab results

  • Communicate with Head of Departments and Supervisors

  • Identify, deliver and sustain continuous improvement

  • Maintain laboratory equipment by reporting and troubleshooting any issues

  • Workplace organisation

  • Maintain high quality health and safety standards

  • Dispose chemicals and waste products safely
